What A Miracle !

Our Little Girl is finally Here! What an amazing experience... Even though we have been through this arduous process before, it is truely a gift to witness the miracle of the first moments of life. Kate and Chloe are doing awesome after 36 hours from begining the induction until her arrival. Mom is an amazingly strong woman whom I am continueing to be surprized by. Especially provided the grace and tenacity she demonstrated during the waning moments we have been waiting 9 months to have... all I can say is I am amazed by the whole thing. Our daugter is perfect in every way ( the eyes of her father are biased I'm sure) . Chloe was born on 4/15/08 at 6:20 pm . Weiging in at 10 lbs even , and 21.5 inches long... We are thrilled to welcome her to our growing family, and can't wait to share her lifes path with her , our friends, and family.... I need to sign off for now, but will update our post as soon as I recover from the sleep deprivation.

2 Weeks - Can You Believe it ?

Hi all - Long time no post... well I am not sure why I havn't had the time at all to blog enough... Lets see ....to recap... all of the work has been done downstairs, Nates Room, Ripped out carpet, built walls hung doors. And that's just me... Kate has done the real work .... we are in the home stretch. We have 10 days until induction time! WOW so excited to meet the little princess. As you can see the work is not yet completed... But Dad is scrambling, mom is cookin a kiddo , and Nate is just being 2 1/2 .

Life is full and wonderful. Could be the Calm before the storm and could be that the endorphen and adrenalin flow has me loopy to the point of not realizing the true nature of what we have gotten our family into.

Dual Cribs and the multi room baby monitor - big diapers and ones you can hardly believe fit on a human being... You get this and at the same time mini skirts for a newborn ( I know ... I said it) ... Strap it up because the Stevens express is headed into completely uncharted territory..

We are so in it to win it at this point ! Bring it on ... Talk to you all soon.

Quick 5 week update

Quick update on the progress... Kate is doing so great! To handle the 2.5 year old at the same time as growing our family truely astounds... She is a remarkable woman ... I just work here. Nater Potater's room is finished, so is the office... This weekend is the nursery ... T Minus 5 weeks and counting. WOW do we have a lot going on... I promise to take pictures of the whole mess for the before and after...

Update : for February 7th

Hi All,

Reid is back and posting. Well 7 weeks to go and we are fully operational downstairs in the office, and Nates "BIG BOY" room is almost finished. ( Floor boards - Crown Molding- Bed Built).

There will be pictures posted soon to make sure everyone can weigh in on my work.

Kate and Nate are doing awesome... Katie is getting pretty pregnant ... and Nate knows something is going on... but he is not quite sure what the heck it is. He is wonderfully difficult right now, but we would not have it any other way. We both prefer personality over placid-ity at his age, and he has a BUNCH !

So I really am excited to meet our little girl. I cant believe we are going to be adding cute little flowers, lacey things, and pink into our home... Ohh man strap it up !

Chloe Construction Update

Hi all,

Well the beginnings of the new office wall are done and so are the challenges of the constuction zone with Nate . Wow 2 1/2 year old plus construction site is challenging to say the least. Last weekend Nater grabbed a hot drill bit when daddy was finished drilling , needless to say that did not go down too well. We had to talk about grabbing hot things as we iced down his fingers.

Kate is beautifully pregnant and doing really well but with 13 weeks left we are now working into the extreme prego stages. Kate is really doing a great job of staying active and healthy. In fact she is looking so beautiful and only showing Chloe and that is it.

I am focused on the remodel and productivity at work ... Gotta run Talk to you soon.

We are In HOME OWNERS H-E-L-L

Lets just start by saying the wonders of an expanding family clearly outweigh the work... That said, the work about to happen for Team Stevens is CRAZY! In the next 14 weeks while Kate bakes our perfect angel of a daughter... I will be completely overhauling the house. New Bedrooms, New Office downstairs, new paint , floor , furniture etc etc... And of course the General(kate) the Boss ( Nate) and the Princess (Chloe on the inside) will just be watching it all happen while Daddy works 15 hours over each weekend to prepare for our infant... WOW ! Crazy that a 8-to 9 lb baby who is unborn is the genesys of all that work.

Just a quick entree into our busy lives... We are so excited to meet her.

Hi all. My first attempt at blogging to keep everyone up to date with the family. Huge time synch I am anticipating but worth the effort... I plan on updating everyone over the weekends where possible and adding pictures..for everyone to see.
